Bachelorette Weekend in Charleston, South Carolina

Since I am recently engaged, I thought it would be fun to put together an itinerary for a Bachelorette Weekend in Charleston, mainly focused on food and drinks. Since I live here, I won’t be doing my bachelorette here, but hopefully this will help some fellow fiancés! There is also a video version of this guide on my TikTok if you’re a visual learner.

Friday: Dinner, Drinks, and Dancing

Seafood Paella from Barsa in Charleston

Dinner at Barsa

This Spanish tapas restaurant is a great spot for a big group because you can order a ton of small plates and share. The paella is a must, as are the patatas bravas. Try to get there in time for happy hour (4-7 p.m.)

Drinks at Cocktail Club

Ease into the night at Cocktail Club, which has more of a chill, speakeasy vibe than the next bar on the list. Get one of their classic cocktails or split a punch bowl if you’re feeling frisky.

Dancing at Prohibition

Now that you pregamed a bit at Cocktail Club, it’s time to dance at Prohibition. It’s a nice restaurant and cocktail bar by day, but at night, the dance floor is electric. They also have a nice patio in the back if you need to take a dancing break.

Late night snack at Benny Ravello’s

Benny’s has saved my life many times after a night out. Their pizza slices are huge and reasonably priced, so you will survive the rest of the weekend financially and physically.

Saturday: Brunch, Boats, and Barbecue

Brunch at Daps

Daps will remind you why you love breakfast. A place that is known for their strong canned mimosas and fruity pebble pancakes just screams bachelorette party. If you want something more savory, their bacon, egg, and cheese has a cheese sauce on it that is to die for and their chorizo gravy sandwich is another must-try.

Stock up on booze for your boat day at East Bay Wine and Spirits

If you’re going on a boat tour, usually booze isn’t included. I recommend stopping by East Bay Wine and Spirits to stock up on canned cocktails, liquor, anything you need. There’s also a Harris Teeter across the street for mixers.

Boat day

If your bach party coincides with warm weather, seeing Charleston from the water is a must. For a smaller group, Charleston Sailing Adventures has a private sailboat tour, and Holy City Boat Tours are always a great time. I’ve used both for birthday celebrations. I haven’t tried Saltwater Cycle yet, but I’ve heard good things.

Dinner at Home Team BBQ

After a day on the boat, you probably just want something filling and don’t care how fancy it is. We have several great barbecue restaurants, but I would recommend Home Team because it has more of a party vibe, especially when people have had a few of their signature frozen drink, The Gamechanger.

Live Music at Royal American

If you still have some energy left, catch some live music at Royal American. It’s more of a divey vibe and they have 32 oz punches that are sweet, but sneaky strong.

Sunday: Recovery

Tavern & Table Blood Orange Paloma

Brunch at Grace & Grit

Get the grit flight and thank me later. They also have mimosa flights and classic southern breakfast items that will help you recover.

Tavern & Table

If you have time for one more stop, head to Shem Creek for waterfront drinks. A little hair of the dog action never hurt anyone and the Vanilla Coconut Coffee is the drink for the job.
