Bay Street Biergarten: Brunch Parties and Big Ol’ Brews

Bay Street Biergarten is a unique venue that has a southern take on a classic German Biergarten. The communal tables combined with the unique beer selection turn strangers into friends and makes for a friendly and inviting atmosphere.

Jack’s Cafe Review

Jack’s specializes in no-fuss diner food. I usually go there for breakfast, but I’ve heard their burgers are awesome too. My favorite item at Jack’s is none other than the Hangover Cure. It comes with 2 eggs, 2 of their giant pancakes, choice of ham, sausage, or bacon, and choice of home fries or grits. You get all of that for $10, so it’s a great deal. It is a lot of food so I rarely finish it and end up in a food coma, but I still enjoy the process of tasting all their classic breakfast items.

Charlie’s Grocery

Charlie’s is the quintessential corner store. It may look like a hole in the wall on the outside, but they have some great food on the inside. Their breakfast sandwiches are the perfect cure to hunger and more importantly hangovers. I am a big fan of the Colossal, which has everything but the kitchen sink within it. All you need to know is that it has a chicken tender and a hashbrown within the same sandwich.

They have other crazy sandwiches like the Shark Attack, which has chicken tenders and fries in sandwich form. They also have Boar’s Head meat, so if you’re looking for a lighter option, you can customize any sub that you want. It is a convenience store, so you can pick up some beer, grab some toilet paper, and get a great meal all in one trip.
